LEPIN NINJAG 06020 Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty Review

I'll be reviewing the bootleg version of the Lego Ninjago series this time. I have always been a sucker for ships and buildings so this time I got myself a huge ship - the Destiny's Bounty. Okay, since I don't follow the Lego Ninjago cartoon series, I had to do some homework on Google a bit. Apparently, the version of the ship I bought was the second version @ Destiny's Bounty 2.0. The first version was destroyed but was eventually rebuilt again. The first version can only sail in the sea but the version is able to fly. Refer to the first version bootleg released by BELA below. I might get one if I can still find it.

Now, the usual box comparison. As usual, the box packaging is identical and LEPIN's brick packaging is horrible as usual - unnumbered random packaging.

Bricks Packaging

Let's start assembling!

I thought it will tough assembling this ship since the bricks packaging are random but thanks to the different color bricks used in this set, I was able to spot my pieces rather quickly.

Now, the verdict. I'll rate it at 9 out of 10. No missing bricks and the mini figures quality are good. The sail can be opened and closed using the lever near the mast, and you can pull out the cannon at the back of the ship which moves the "rudder?" too (refer to animated GIFs below). Hate the bricks packaging as usual. The color of the bricks aren't that good too; it looks a bit faded (cloudy?) in my opinion. Apart from that, I have no other complaints.

I do not have the 360 degrees panorama view for this set; I'll probably do it after getting a proper camera. Also take note that I did not take pictures of the dragon, mini figures and also the detachable bike that is slotted behind the ship. I'll attach the pictures from another site for your reference.

My next review would be for the older LEPIN Star Wars set - Sith Infiltrator and Resistance Troop Transporter. I know I know, no one wants them and it's near impossible to get them now. I just got mine from Taobao yesterday so I'll bricking it later. I am also placing an order for the LEPIN First Order Transporter. I'm guessing it will only arrive in 2 weeks time which hopefully is the same time I get my LEPIN Ghostbusters HQ and Brick Bank. Yay for June! Lotsa bricking activity!

DECOOL 7111 Super Heroes The Tumbler Review

Finally, the review everyone has been waiting for. My stock came in 2 weeks late hence the late review. The DECOOL 7111 Super Heroes The Tumbler is the bootleg version of the Lego 76023 The Tumbler. Yes, it's the huge UCS Tumbler released back in 2014 which contains 1869 pieces of Lego. View the original Lego 76023 below.

As usual, we will compare the box and packaging of the DECOOL 7111 Super Heroes The Tumbler. The box is huge like the original; 52 CM H x 62 CM W x 13 CM D. It weighs about 3.3 KG. The packaging is slightly different than the original but that is not the important part. The most important part is the packaging of the brick pieces! If you look at the 3rd picture below, the brick pieces are now sorted properly into boxes labelled 1 to 6! Thank Heavens for that!

DECOOL (Front View)

DECOOL (Back View)

DECOOL (Packaging)

I managed to complete the DECOOL 7111 Super Heroes The Tumbler in 7 hours; yes, I only take short breaks for drinks, toilet and glance at the TV once a while watching Barcelona win the La Liga title. You can view the photo time line below. WARNING : Picture heavy!

Box #1 contains only the Technic joints, stickers, rims and tyres. Nothing much here.

So, what's the verdict? I'll give it a 9 out of 10. Why not 10 out of 10?

I have problems with the rims and tyres. The rubber tyres doesn't fit nicely into the rim; it is very loose. So when you push the Tumbler, it feels like it's wobbly...ummm...how do I explain it...ah...it's like driving with a flat tyre haha. Secondly, I feel that the bricks are...rough. I developed blisters on both my thumbs from just snapping the brick pieces into place. Thirdly, the "windscreen" are slightly scratched for my set so you can see lines. I'm not sure it's a defect on my set or manufacturing issue.

Apart from that, I love this DECOOL 7111 Super Heroes The Tumbler! I'm recommending this set to everyone who loves the original Lego The Tumbler but can't afford/didn't manage to buy it. I'll compare the original Lego Tumbler and Decool Tumbler side by side when I am free.

7 grueling hours to complete thanks to the proper bricks packaging. I'm hoping LEPIN to follow the footsteps for the Brick Bank and especially the 4000+ pieces GhostBusters HQ because I'm gonna die if I have to search piece by piece. For those who don't know about the upcoming sets, you can view the picture below.

You can look at the 360 degrees view below.

Size comparison with the LELE Millennium Falcon.

The photo quality is a bit...bad because all these are taken from my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and not some DSL-R. I'll retake the photos once I get my hands on a better camera.

That's it folks. For those who has already purchase the DECOOL 7111 Super Heroes The Tumbler, happy bricking. For those who has not purchase one, what are you waiting for? Get them now!

DECOOL 7112 Super Heroes The BatWing : The Joker's Aerial Assault Review

Ah, finally, a non-Star Wars bootleg review. I'll be reviewing the DECOOL 7112 Super Heroes The BatWing : The Joker's Aerial Assault. This set is the clone for Lego 7782 The BatWing : The Joker's Aerial Assault BUT without the Joker's Helicopter and the Joker's Goon mini figure. The original Lego version was released way back in 2006 (if I'm not mistaken).

As usual, let's look at the box. Yeah, Joker seems to be floating in mid-air on the DECOOL box because there's no Joker's Helicopter in this set. The word "BATMAN" on the original box was replaced with "SUPER Heroes" and picture of the mini figures are shown on the bottom left of the DECOOL box.

DeCool Box (Front Only)

Let's look at the packaging. Not well-organized as usual but no matter. It's kinda fun to look for a needle in the haystack at times.

Okay, let's start building!

Ta-da! Well, since this is a very small set, it's quite easy and fast to assemble. Let's look at the BatWing flight picture below. Flaps fully opened, missiles ready to fire. Oh, ignore the supporting blocks below the BatWing. It's my own blocks to make the BatWing looks like it's floating.

Ok, verdict. Was disappointed that the Joker's Helicopter wasn't included but apart from that everything looks good. No missing bricks AND the cannon/missile launcher works!

LEPIN 05006 STAR WNRS Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle Review

Hmm, this is most likely my final review for the bootleg Star Wars series. My supplier can't get hold of the Sith Infiltrator and First Order Transporter anymore so I don't think I'll spend a bomb to buy them elsewhere. I'm not planning to purchase and assemble the same set for different brands due to budget constraints. But I might change my mind depending on situation though. But I'll rather save up to buy the Decool UCS Tumbler and review it! Refer to the picture below. I'm pretty sure it's not the original picture but wow, 1869 pieces is...COOL!

Okay, back to the topic. Today I'll be reviewing the LEPIN 05006 STAR WNRS Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle which is the Lego 75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle clone. As usual, box comparison pictures below. As you can see again, similar as usual.

Original Lego 75104

LEPIN Box (Front)

LEPIN Box (Back)

This set is not easy to assemble because of the usual not-very-organized bricks packaging. The similar color bricks did not help either. Let's look at the bricks packaging.

Now, let's start assembling! Warning : Picture heavy!

You can extend and retract the wings. Refer to my animated GIF of the process below. Cool eh?

So, what's the verdict? If you looks closely at my animated GIF above, you will notice the wings doesn't snap back properly after you retract it. I had to use my hands to manually readjust it. So, that's the first flaw. Second, you will notice there's a ladder below the command shuttle for Kylo Ren to walk out from. The ladder sometimes go in to deep and it's a bit tough to pull it out unless you have long finger nails. Thirdly, you guess it...it's the spring shooter again! It just doesn't work! Why can't LEPIN get it right like LELE??? Apart from that, I don't think there are any noticeable flaws.

And how can I forget, the 360 degrees view! Due to the towering height of the command shuttle, I had some issues trying to get a perfect photo. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed my little review.
