LELE 79211 STAR WART MILLENNIUM FALCON Review

Today I'll be reviewing the LELE 79211 Star Wart Millennium Falcon. No, it's not a spelling typo. Due to the copyright issue, LELE had to rename Star Wars to Star Wart. Same goes to LEPIN; they renamed it to Star Wnrs instead. I was suppose to get the LEPIN version but unfortunately the stock takes forever to come in.

I'm pretty sure all my readers knows about the famous Millennium Falcon. If you do not, refer to the picture below. It's the starship from the movie franchise, Star Wars.

Now, let's look at the packaging. Yes, this is the exact clone of the Lego 75105 Millennium Falcon. The font for the word "Star Wart" itself is a blatant copy of the original Star Wars. Refer picture below to compare both packaging.

The box is actually quite big; 22.5 in (W) x 15 in (H) x 3.5 in (D) and weighs about 2.8kg.

Original Lego 75105 Box

LELE Box (Front)

LELE Box (Back)

Now, let's look at the contents (refer picture below). The bricks are packed neatly in plastic bags BUT take note that the plastic bags are not labelled and the bricks in each plastic bag are grouped by size rather than assembling sequence unlike Lego. And yes, it is worse than finding a needle in a haystack. But you'll get used to it if you assemble a lot of bootleg Lego.

Box Contents

So, how do you start? I suggest you gather as many small containers you can get hold off and sort the bricks like me. Usually I'll dump all the smaller parts into the containers. Those larger ones I'll dump it into the cardboard box.

Box Contents (after sorting)

Warning! Please check the brick colors carefully before assembling. The brick colors in the manual might be confusing at times especially the dark bluish gray, light bluish gray and tan. I made a mistake with one of the colors and it was impossible for me to reverse the process without dismantling everything. But luckily I had another spare brick to replace it.

Okay, let's start assembling! Picture heavy.

Voila! It is completed! Took me more than 6 hours to complete it because I spent most of the times looking for bricks, More pictures from different angles.

So, what's the verdict? I'll rate this set 9 out of 10. This set would have gotten 10 out of 10 if the colors on the manual were clearer and the bricks packaging were...better. I would have save a lot of time if the bricks packaging were done nicely like Lego. Not a big issue here...actually I'm kinda enjoyed myself more. The color of some bricks are a bit off especially the red...maybe it's just my eyesight. The mini figures looks better than Lepin.

I have created a 360 degrees view but I'm not sure you guys can see/use it or not. Check it out below.

Lego Train Motor with Power Functions on Ausini Train Set No. 25807

Ausini Train Set No. 25807

I bought a Lego train motor with Power Functions last night and it's not cheap, and I decided to install it on my Ausini Train Set No. 25807. The Ausini train set is rather heavy so I was afraid the train won't be able to move. I was half-right; the train had troubles moving and after some checking and tweaking, I discover that it needs a longer rail track to pickup speed, kinda like an airplane on a longer runway. So, I extended my straight rail tracks to 13 pieces (about 1.65m) which was just enough. I added an extra carriage (timber carriage) so the train is like super heavy but hey! It works. I created a short video to demonstrate my experiment. Enjoy the video! I'll be posting more original Legos and bootleg versions of it in my next few posts. Wait for it!

DeCool F1 Formula Racer 1:10 [3334] Review

A friend recommended me to try out this "fake Lego" product (DeCool brand) because he mentioned the quality and build is very similar to Lego. I did a quick research on that and found that it's really true! There are 2 notable "fake Lego" brands from my research; DeCool and Enlighten. Recommended it to another friend and three of us drove down to GM Klang, a wholesale mall in Klang, to have a look.

We arrived a bit late, 6:00-ish PM, and discover that the entire mall closes at 7:00 PM. So we went to the particular shop that my friend recommended, can't recall the name, it's shop no. 64 on the 2nd Floor. Lotsa toys there; from "Lego-compatible" toys to Nanoblocks to figurines. Long story short, bought my Ferrari and some Lego/Nanoblock display cases.

The box is huge like it should be since it's a 1:10 scale. The Ferrari comes with an assembly manual, 5 packs of sealed parts, 4 tyres and of course the sticker. The sticker looks so cheap until I refuse to stick them to the finished product. I'll probably get some better stickers later. Anyone wanna sponsor a sticker? Free advertising!

5 packs of sealed parts means there will be 5 stages which you will need to follow in order. The first stage was relatively easy...but there seems to be a lot of "spares" after completing. I double checked the manual and was relieved that I did not missed out on anything. Second stage was interesting; I get to build my own engine! With crankshafts and pistons! Based on the design, looks like a V10 engine to me. Third stage was a bit tricky. Why? I discover one part near the steering was missing! Jialat! But luckily the part wasn't critical and the steering still works. Fourth stage was a nightmare...the manual was confusing so I ended tearing apart a few things because the flywheel feels a bit off. Stage 5 was easy but I had to "customize" a few parts because some of the parts were too long. Snip snip snip and done. Perfect fit.

First Stage

Second Stage

Third Stage

Fourth Stage

Fifth Stage

And yes, I'm the Ferrari naked. No stock stickers. The steering works perfectly and it's fun to watch the pistons move when I push the car.

 Final Product

Conclusion? The manual can be confusing at times so you'll need to figure some things by yourself. The stickers are a no-no. And some parts can be hard to fit in so you'll need screwdrivers, long-nose pliers to assist. Overall, I'm happy with the finished product. Will get another set when my budget allows.

Magic the Gathering - Battle Setup

Welcome to my first Magic the Gathering post. I'll be posting a lot of posts and videos of meaningless battles between top tier decks and also casual decks. I'll be using the program called Forge for this purpose. It's not as perfect as MTGO but the AI is quite impressive. The AI won't be able to simulate a player's logic and play completely but it is good enough to pilot powerful no-brainer decks like Domain Zoo, Jund Aggro and Naya Aggro

To demonstrate the program here, I'll create a video of a mock battle between the Naya Aggro versus the casual Tribal Bear deck I found online. The battle will be based on best of 5 games with no sideboards. (Sorry, the AI is not perfect enough to sideboard)

Below are the decklists.

Naya Aggro (2009 Nationals)

[Main]
3 Ajani Vengeant|ALA
4 Arid Mesa|ZEN
4 Baneslayer Angel|M10
4 Bloodbraid Elf|ARB
4 Forest|LEA|1
4 Lightning Bolt|LEA
3 Mountain|LEA|1
4 Noble Hierarch|CFX
1 Oran-Rief, the Vastwood|ZEN
4 Path to Exile|CFX
4 Plains|LEA|1
4 Ranger of Eos|ALA
4 Rootbound Crag|M10
1 Scute Mob|ZEN
4 Sunpetal Grove|M10
4 Wild Nacatl|ALA
4 Woolly Thoctar|ALA

[Sideboard]
1 Ajani Vengeant|ALA
2 Burst Lightning|ZEN
4 Celestial Purge|CFX
4 Goblin Ruinblaster|ZEN
4 Great Sable Stag|M10

Tribal Bear (Casual)

[Main]
4 Adaptive Automaton|M12
4 Balduvian Bears|ICE
4 Bear Cub|PO2
4 Bear Umbra|ROE
4 Coat of Arms|EXO
22 Forest|LEA|1
4 Forest Bear|PTK
4 Golden Bear|PO2
4 Grizzly Bears|LEA
4 Muraganda Petroglyphs|FUT
4 Runeclaw Bear|M10

[Sideboard]
None

Let the battle begin! Watch the video below. (Sorry for the crappy effects)

Wow, intense match with the Tribal Bear winning the game 3-2 by sheer dumb luck. I top decked the Coat of Arms twice in the final games for the win.  The common problems with tribal decks are some of the cards that they used actually help opponents to win i.e. Coat of Arms and Muraganda Petroglyphs. For my case, Coat of Arms was buffing my opponent's Human; Ranger of Eos and Noble Hierarch. The Noble Hierarch added Exalted ability and Ranger of Eos comes-into-play ability to search for more Nobles makes the opponent's creatures much more painful. Oh, since Woolly Thoctar is a vanilla creature, Muraganda Petroglyphs actaully makes them...scarier. Take note that the tribal bear deck does not have removals.

Let's try another casual deck for my next MTG battle post.

Hope you guys/girls enjoyed my posts.

Monkeys Can Game Logo - First Draft

Yay, first draft for the blog logo complete! Yeah yeah, the tail looks very unnatural and the feet looks strange. But hey! I'm no art student but I'm very satisfied with the overall design.

Achievement Unlocked! Diablo 3 - Paragon Level 1000!

First of all, I would like to congratulate myself for hitting another useless milestone in my life. Somehow I managed to achieve Paragon Level 1000 on Diablo 3. I know, I know, there are lotsa gamers out there with higher Paragon levels but this is more like a personal achievement for me. Apart from Diablo 3, Final Fantasy series and Ragnarok Online, I don't think I spent too much time on games. So, I have reached Paragon Level 1000. What now? Quit and uninstall the game? No way! There are a few more personal achievements which I have not unlocked. One, I would like to complete the Kanai cube. If you don't know what is Kanai cube, read about it HERE. Two, fully gearing all my character classes. FYI, I am very close to achieving that. Just need a few "better" roll gears. (Damn joo RNG God!) Three, to breeze through Greater Rift 60-70. I am currently stuck at GR 57-ish but I am doing good. No worries there. Like I mentioned above, "better" rolling gears. *prays to Kadala*

Anyways, I created this fun gaming blog not just for Diablo 3 BUT also for my passion for other games i.e. vintage and other modern games, and heck, I will have video battles for Magic the Gathering too! So, wait for my next post!

P/S : I'm currently designing a logo for my blog. Probably something easy to design for a non-artistic person like me. Mmmm, a monkey holding a joypad...sounds good. *starts sketching*
