DECOOL 7112 Super Heroes The BatWing : The Joker's Aerial Assault Review

Ah, finally, a non-Star Wars bootleg review. I'll be reviewing the DECOOL 7112 Super Heroes The BatWing : The Joker's Aerial Assault. This set is the clone for Lego 7782 The BatWing : The Joker's Aerial Assault BUT without the Joker's Helicopter and the Joker's Goon mini figure. The original Lego version was released way back in 2006 (if I'm not mistaken).

As usual, let's look at the box. Yeah, Joker seems to be floating in mid-air on the DECOOL box because there's no Joker's Helicopter in this set. The word "BATMAN" on the original box was replaced with "SUPER Heroes" and picture of the mini figures are shown on the bottom left of the DECOOL box.

Let's look at the packaging. Not well-organized as usual but no matter. It's kinda fun to look for a needle in the haystack at times.

Okay, let's start building!

Ta-da! Well, since this is a very small set, it's quite easy and fast to assemble. Let's look at the BatWing flight picture below. Flaps fully opened, missiles ready to fire. Oh, ignore the supporting blocks below the BatWing. It's my own blocks to make the BatWing looks like it's floating.

Ok, verdict. Was disappointed that the Joker's Helicopter wasn't included but apart from that everything looks good. No missing bricks AND the cannon/missile launcher works!

LEPIN 05006 STAR WNRS Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle Review

Hmm, this is most likely my final review for the bootleg Star Wars series. My supplier can't get hold of the Sith Infiltrator and First Order Transporter anymore so I don't think I'll spend a bomb to buy them elsewhere. I'm not planning to purchase and assemble the same set for different brands due to budget constraints. But I might change my mind depending on situation though. But I'll rather save up to buy the Decool UCS Tumbler and review it! Refer to the picture below. I'm pretty sure it's not the original picture but wow, 1869 pieces is...COOL!

Okay, back to the topic. Today I'll be reviewing the LEPIN 05006 STAR WNRS Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle which is the Lego 75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle clone. As usual, box comparison pictures below. As you can see again, similar as usual.

Original Lego 75104

LEPIN Box (Front)

LEPIN Box (Back)

This set is not easy to assemble because of the usual not-very-organized bricks packaging. The similar color bricks did not help either. Let's look at the bricks packaging.

Now, let's start assembling! Warning : Picture heavy!

You can extend and retract the wings. Refer to my animated GIF of the process below. Cool eh?

So, what's the verdict? If you looks closely at my animated GIF above, you will notice the wings doesn't snap back properly after you retract it. I had to use my hands to manually readjust it. So, that's the first flaw. Second, you will notice there's a ladder below the command shuttle for Kylo Ren to walk out from. The ladder sometimes go in to deep and it's a bit tough to pull it out unless you have long finger nails. Thirdly, you guess it...it's the spring shooter again! It just doesn't work! Why can't LEPIN get it right like LELE??? Apart from that, I don't think there are any noticeable flaws.

And how can I forget, the 360 degrees view! Due to the towering height of the command shuttle, I had some issues trying to get a perfect photo. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed my little review.

LEPIN 05005 STAR WNRS First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter Review

Yes! Finally a LEPIN Star Wars review! This time, I'll be reviewing the LEPIN 05005 STAR WNRS First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter which is the clone for Lego 75101 First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter. As usual, let's compare the boxes. They look exactly alike...apart from the manufacturer and typo spelling.

Let's look at the packaging inside. Fortunately this is a small set so assembling would be a breeze.

Let's start assembling!

Ta da! Now, to the most important part of the review - the VERDICT! There was a missing block...well not exactly missing but LEPIN gave me the "inverted" version of the block. Refer to picture below. Luckily, my supplier had a spare tile and he gave it to me for FREE! Another issue I faced was I can't snap the TIE Fighter wings to the body firmly because of a few tiles preventing it from snapping in. I had to remove 2-4 tiles to fit them in. Thirdly, the most common LEPIN problem - the spring shooter. It does not work! When you pushed in the Arrow 8M (the missile), it is supposed to snap in and lock nicely like in the second picture below but for LEPIN, it doesn't snap in and lock. And the fourth issue which everyone knows...mini figures quality...Definitely can't fight LELE. Apart from the highlighted issues earlier, I have no other complaints. The brick quality and colors definitely beat LELE.

The missing and extra tiles

Now for the 360 degrees view!

I'll be reviewing the Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle next, followed by LEPIN Poe's X-Wing Fighter and HOPEFULLY, Decool UCS Tumbler!

Well, that's all folks.

LELE 79209 STAR WART POE'S X-WING FIGHTER Review

Welcome back to another episode of "rate the bootleg Lego Star Wars"! Today, I'll be reviewing bootleg version of Lego's 75102 Poe's X-Wing Fighter, the LELE 79209 Star Wart Poe's X-Wing Fighter. Let's compare the original Lego's and LELE's box.

Original Lego 75102

LELE Box (Front)

LELE Box (Front)

I love this set! Why? Because of the bright orange color that stands out, it's easier to find bricks you wanted. Assembling Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle and Millennium Falcon was slightly tougher because most of the bricks are the same color! Refer picture below for the bricks packaging.

Bricks packaging. See? So easy to spot the bricks you want!

Since the bricks are quite little, I didn't bother to group the bricks into containers like I did for the Millennium Falcon in the previous post.

The initial stage was to assemble the loader and access ladder which was easy.

In a blink of an eye, the main body was completed. Much much easier than the rest of the bootlegs because of the color.

Now, let's add some fusial thrust engines at the back and transparisteel canopy for the cockpit. Wow, you must be thinking I'm some kind of geek but I'm not. I just Googled for the names. Refer to Googled picture below.hahahaha

Part of S-Foil Wings and BB-8 added!

Both S-Foil Wings up. Notice that the upper and lower wings are sticking together? We'll need to use the Technics mechanism inside to open up the wings into "X" shape. You probably wonder why the folded wings? The foils on each side locked in place flush against each other; during combat, however, the foils were folded out to increase the spread coverage of the laser cannons mounted at the tips of the foils. This gave the craft its distinctive "X"-like appearance when viewed from the front or rear. The cannons on some earlier models could not be fired with the S-foils in locked position, perhaps as a safety feature. During hyperspace travel, the S-foils remained locked to conserve energy. Again, I Googled that s**t up hahahaha

Voila! Folded out wings! Ignore that tofufa container supporting the X-Wing Fighter.

If you look at the picture below, you'll notice there are several rubber bands near the fusial thrust engines. I suspect it will break sooner or later (Made in China ma...). I'm not sure our normal rubber bands can replaced it or not.

Animated GIF below for the folding in and out of the wings.

Now for the 360 view!

So, what's the verdict? Building the X-Wing Fighter was fun because there were less delays from finding bricks. There were no missing bricks and some extra bricks BUT there was one brick, the orange 1x6 brick was missing. Instead there was an extra 1x6 light bluish gray brick. In case you can't spot it, it's on the top left hand of the S-Foil Wing. Yes, that ugly one miscolored brick. Dammit! The spring shooter, or the PEW PEW launcher works perfectly. I noticed only LEPIN and BELA had the spring shooter issue.
